When Wildfires Stole Our Outdoor Sanctuaries

Bringing the forest inside through design

Inspired by fluid forms in nature, I seek to infuse elements of the natural world within my interior products that promote a sense of calm and well-being. This past year, I had the pleasure of spending the winter upstate with my family. Every weekend, I would take long walks outside and get lost within the woods of the Catskills.

There was a sense of solitude that permeated me, and a comfort knowing that I was connected to such natural beauty. Hailing from the city, having the opportunity to commune with a fresh natural landscape holds even greater import for me. There is nothing better than being cleansed by a cluster of trees, grass, fresh air, and quiet.

When I learned about the recent wildfires in California, aside from the devastating reality of people losing their homes, all I could think about was how those living in LA would not, for a good chunk of time at least, be able to revel in their usual outdoor sanctuaries.

We will be donating proceeds of the “Into the Woods” collection to charities aimed at helping rebuild the quality of life back to these communities.”

Where will I donate the proceeds? 100% of proceeds from the sales of “Into the Woods” will be donated to the American Red Cross and the California Community Foundation.
